As a DJ and a producer, Timmy Vegas sound is unmistakable and recognized the world over. With many years experience in the industry: Timmy has forged a diverse music career which has seen him writing musicals in New York and spending time on tour with Led Zepplinn rock legend, Robert Plant. Timmy has more recently worked with pioneers such as Tony Humphries, Frankie Knuckles and Barbara Tucker as well as having original productions for labels including Soul Heaven, MN2S, Big Love, Blackwiz and Z Records. Along with DJ/producer partner Andy Ward came Soul Central who’s profile experienced a meteoric rise due to their re-interpretation of Derick May’s techno classic ‘Strings Of Life’. One of the biggest house tunes of all time. Originally released on Whistlebump and licensed to Defected, who commissioned a vocal from Kathy Brown. ‘Strings Of Life (Stronger On My Own)’ was an international crossover hit that put Soul Central on the map. They have additionally produced a string of killer remixes for the likes of Mel B, Estelle, Groove Junkies and Knee Deep. Never afraid to drop peak-time anthems or soulful vocals, Timmy Vegas is unique in his understanding of how to combine a true, underground house sound with a big room party vibe. With an adventurous sound that can be both tough and dynamic and smooth and soulful, he purveys a diversity that puts him in a league of his own.
